Jack Dorsey is an American Computer Programmer and Internet Entrepreneur. He was born on November 19, 1976 and is known as a co-founder and CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Twitter. He is the son of Mercia (Smith) and Tim Dorsey. Tim Dorsey worked for a company that developed mere spectrometers and his mother was a House wife. Jack Dorsey is also the CEO of Square, a popular mobile payment gateway service provider. He got his education from Bishop Dubourg high school.
Dorsey attended the Missouri University of science and Technology and he dropped out of the university because of his career goals. At the age of fourteen, Jack Dorsey developed open source dispatch routing software.
This software is still being used in many USA Taxies companies. Jack sold this software to biggest Taxi companies. Jack launched simple website which called twitter within two weeks, Jack had built a simple site where users could post short messages of 140 characters or less. In 21 march 2006, CEO Twitter Jack Dorsey posted the world first tweet on his website.
In 2008, Jack went on to hold the chairman of the board and he was removed from the position of CEO. Twitter was no-longer the brunt of so many jokes. But in its early days celebrities and CEO’s alike began tweeting.
In 2010, Twitter had more than 105 million users who together tweeted some 50 million times a day. In 2011 Jack became the investor of internet and he had developed a small business platform to accept credit and debit card payments on the mobile devices which called Square. Square was launched, May 2010 and in 2011 Square INC had grown from ten employees to over 100 employees.
